About this house
Welcome to Flamingo Hideaway- a Bear Lake vacation home that takes having fun seriously.
The flamingos greeting you at the front door are your first clue that this isn't just another cabin. Step inside and you'll find a bright, welcoming 6-bedroom retreat packed with thoughtful touches for families and groups- from a private indoor sauna, pinball and Xbox to ping-pong, outdoor games, a fire pit, two living areas, and plenty of room for everyone to gather.
And the fun extends beyond the house. Guests also have access to the neighborhood's seasonal outdoor pool, pickleball court, and covered gathering area.
With room for up to 20 guests, Flamingo Hideaway isn't simply a place to sleep between Bear Lake adventures.
It's part of the vacation.
A Home with Personality
Flamingo Hideaway starts having fun before you even make it through the front door.
You'll be greeted by flamingos outside, a colorful front door, and a beautiful stained-glass flamingo in the window. Step inside to a convenient entry area for shoes surrounded by a playful wall of flamingos.
Continue into the home and you'll come across a hand-painted map of Utah featuring Bear Lake and its most mysterious resident- the legendary Bear Lake Monster.
It's that kind of house.
The décor is bright, cheerful, and full of personality without sacrificing comfort. There are little details to discover throughout the home, giving Flamingo Hideaway a character all its own.
There's even a large whiteboard for planning your Bear Lake adventures. Fill it with everything your group wants to do during the trip, from boating and beach days to pickleball, hiking, skiing, raspberry shakes, and whatever else makes your vacation list.
A Gathering Space Built for a Crowd
The heart of the home is the large, open main level, where the kitchen, dining area, and living room come together into one comfortable gathering space.
Settle into the living room around the fireplace and TV, or spread out in the spacious kitchen while dinner comes together.
The kitchen offers plenty of counter and prep space, stainless steel appliances, and a large island with additional seating.
Best of all, the dining table seats 14 guests, with even more seating available at the kitchen bar. When you're vacationing with a big group, having a place where everyone can actually gather for dinner makes a difference.
A half bathroom is conveniently located on this level as well.
Don't Overlook the Garage
At Flamingo Hideaway, even the garage is part of the vacation.
The centerpiece is the ping-pong table, but start exploring the shelves and you'll discover plenty more to keep the group entertained.
The home provides a collection of games and recreation equipment including cornhole, bocce ball, croquet, pickleball equipment, outdoor toys, additional ping-pong equipment, and more.
You'll also find extra outdoor chairs and marshmallow roasting sticks ready to bring out when it's time to gather around the fire.
And because feeding a group of up to 20 takes some serious refrigerator space, the garage includes a second full-size refrigerator for drinks, groceries, and vacation treats.
The garage can accommodate one vehicle and also includes a Level 2 EV charger.
Upstairs
Head upstairs and you'll find four bedrooms, two full bathrooms, and the laundry room.
The primary suite provides a spacious retreat with its own private bathroom, including a large walk-in shower and generous walk-in closet.
Families traveling with little ones will appreciate the full-size crib located in the primary walk-in closet, providing a convenient sleeping space close to parents while still giving baby a little separation.
One of the additional bedrooms includes a dedicated desk and workspace, making it easier to take care of work or school if necessary without taking over the dining table.
The colorful bunk room continues the playful personality of the home, with bright bedding and artwork that makes the space especially fun for younger guests.
The second upstairs bathroom is particularly useful for larger groups, with double sinks and a separate toilet and shower room, allowing multiple people to get ready at the same time.
And for guests who enjoy extra airflow or white noise at night, each bedroom has its own stand-up fan.
The Fun Continues Downstairs
Head downstairs and one of the first things you'll discover is one of Flamingo Hideaway's best features:
Your own private indoor sauna.
After a full day boating, hiking, skiing, snowmobiling, or exploring Bear Lake, it's a pretty great way to end the day.
But that's only the beginning of the lower level.
The downstairs family room gives everyone another place to spread out and features a pinball machine, Xbox, TV, comfortable seating, and a wet bar complete with a mini refrigerator and microwave.
It's an ideal hangout for kids and teens—or for adults who suddenly discover they're much more competitive at pinball than they remembered.
The lower level also includes a full bathroom and two additional bedrooms. One features a king-size bed, while the other continues the home's family-friendly personality with bunk beds and wall-mounted tic-tac-toe.
Between the upstairs living room and downstairs game space, a group of 20 doesn't have to spend the entire vacation in the same room.
Grill, Gather & Enjoy the Evening
Step through the sliding doors from the lower level and you'll arrive at the outdoor patio.
Fire up the gas grill, sit down for dinner outside, or bring out the extra chairs from the garage and settle in for the evening.
The outdoor fire pit gives everyone another place to gather when the day winds down.
Grab the roasting sticks from the garage, break out the marshmallows, and enjoy an evening together under the Bear Lake sky.
Neighborhood Pool & Pickleball
Flamingo Hideaway gives you plenty to do at home, but guests also have access to shared neighborhood recreation amenities.
During the summer season, head over to the outdoor swimming pool for an afternoon in the water or challenge the family to a match on the pickleball court.
The recreation area also includes lounge seating and a large covered gathering area, giving you a place to relax in the shade while the rest of the group plays.
The pool is a seasonal amenity, and community amenities are shared with other residents and guests.
Made for Bear Lake Vacations
Of course, eventually you'll probably want to leave the house.
Flamingo Hideaway makes a comfortable home base for everything that brings people to the Bear Lake Valley.
Spend summer days boating, swimming, paddleboarding, hiking, biking, or exploring Garden City. Grab a famous raspberry shake, spend the afternoon on the water, stop by Pickleville Theater, then return home for ping-pong, dinner on the patio, and a night around the fire.
When winter arrives, Bear Lake becomes an entirely different destination, with skiing, snowboarding, snowmobiling, and miles of mountain country to explore.
Come home, turn on the fireplace, start a pinball tournament, and finish the evening in the sauna.
There's something to enjoy here in every season.
Parking & EV Charging
Large groups often mean multiple vehicles, and Flamingo Hideaway provides substantial on-site parking.
The garage can accommodate one vehicle, while approximately four additional vehicles can park on the concrete driveway.
Additional unpaved parking is available beside the driveway, giving larger groups even more flexibility.
A Level 2 EV charger is located inside the garage.
Because the garage also contains the ping-pong table, second refrigerator, games, recreation equipment, and outdoor chairs, guests parking inside should keep access to these amenities in mind.
