This is a classic Bear Lake cabin, not a newly built luxury home- and that's part of its character. You'll find plenty of space to spread out, a large covered deck overlooking the lake, a cozy gas fireplace, ping-pong, and room for up to 18 guests. It's a great home base for long summer days on the water, winter weekends in the snow, and evenings spent together back at the cabin.

One thing you'll notice immediately is the setting. The cabin sits high above the surrounding area, creating beautiful views-but getting those views means climbing a steep driveway. Please read the driveway information below before booking, particularly for winter stays.

With 3 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, and accommodations for up to 18 guests, Worthen Cabin is especially well suited to larger families and groups traveling together.
Inside, you'll find the warm, lived-in atmosphere of a traditional mountain cabin rather than the polished feel of a newly constructed vacation home. The furnishings and finishes have some age and character, but the home provides the space and essentials needed for a comfortable group stay.
The main gathering areas give everyone room to spend time together without feeling like the entire group has to occupy the same space.
After a full day outside, settle in beside the gas fireplace, watch a movie, play games, or challenge someone to a round of ping-pong.

Summer at Bear Lake
Worthen Cabin puts you in the Harbor Village area on the north side of Garden City, especially convenient for accessing Bear Lake and the marina.
Bear Lake Marina is nearby for boating, fishing, and days on the water. A paved walking and biking path runs through the area and provides another way to enjoy the surroundings.
Downtown Garden City, its restaurants and shops, and Garden City Park and beach are a short drive from the cabin. You'll be close enough to easily enjoy town while staying in the quieter Harbor Village area.
Spend the day boating or swimming, explore the Bear Lake Valley, head into town for a raspberry shake, and then return to the cabin for dinner and an evening overlooking the lake.

Winter at Worthen Cabin
The hillside setting becomes especially fun when the snow arrives.
The property sits on a hill that's great for sledding, and the surrounding Bear Lake area offers excellent opportunities for snowmobiling and other winter recreation. Beaver Mountain is also within driving distance for skiing and snowboarding.
Come back after a cold day outside, turn on the gas fireplace, and settle in for the evening.

Important Winter Driveway Information
Please read this section carefully before booking a winter stay.
Worthen Cabin is located on an elevated hillside, and the driveway is steep. The same elevation that creates the beautiful Bear Lake views can make driveway access challenging when snow or ice is present.
Four-wheel drive or all-wheel drive is strongly recommended during winter conditions, along with appropriate winter tires. Guests should be comfortable driving on steep mountain roads and driveways when snow or ice is possible.
If you're bringing multiple vehicles during winter, we recommend planning accordingly rather than assuming every vehicle will be able to reach the cabin under all conditions.
We would rather have you know about the driveway before you arrive than have it come as a surprise during your vacation.

Classic Cabin Character
Worthen Cabin has been part of the Bear Lake landscape for some time, and guests should arrive expecting a comfortable, older cabin with some quirks and character—not a brand-new luxury home.
For travelers looking for modern finishes and a newly constructed feel, this may not be the best match.
But if your priorities are space for a large group, beautiful Bear Lake views, a big covered deck, a convenient location, and a comfortable place for everyone to gather, Worthen Cabin has a lot to offer.

Harbor Village / north‑shore Garden City — residential vacation-rental neighborhood perched above Bear Lake’s north shore with easy access to beaches, the State Park Marina and boat launches. The vibe is lakeside resort: family-friendly, seasonal, and geared toward outdoor recreation (swimming, boating, fishing, ATV/dirt-road access to nearby trails). Short drives deliver restaurants, small shops, and seasonal attractions; full-service shopping and hospitals are in Logan (to the southwest).

Most visitors use a car — driving is the standard way to reach and move around Bear Lake and nearby trailheads. The area is moderately walkable for short trips to the lake, beach and nearby rentals, but distances between towns and attractions require a vehicle. Biking is common in summer on Bear Lake Boulevard and quieter local roads. Winters bring snow and icy canyon conditions; a vehicle with good clearance or AWD and snow tires/chains is recommended.

The driveway is steep. Winter conditions can make access challenging, and 4WD/AWD with appropriate winter tires is strongly recommended.
This is an older, traditional Bear Lake cabin. Guests should expect some age and character rather than the finishes of a newly built home.
