Welcome to Lakota — a cozy, lived-in cottage tucked into Madison, NH and built for easy White Mountains getaways. Whether you're here to swim at Silver Lake, drive the Kancamagus Highway, hit North Conway for shops and dining, or just slow down for a few days, this is an easy basecamp that just works.

🏠 The Layout

A simple, open floor plan that makes the most of the space. Sleeps 6 comfortably across two bedrooms plus a futon in the living room.

Bedroom 1 — Queen bed
Bedroom 2 — Twin-over-full bunk bed (kids' favorite)
Living room — Full-size futon, perfect for an extra adult or a kid hangout

Open kitchen, dining, and living area — the kind of layout where someone's making coffee, someone's playing cards, and the dog is asleep on the rug.

TV with Roku — log into your own streaming accounts

High-speed WiFi for streaming, working, or planning the next day's hike

Fully stocked kitchen with cookware, dishes, plates, eating + cooking utensils

Keurig coffee maker

Dishwasher + washer/dryer (bring your own detergent)

Dining table for shared meals

🐶 Dog-Friendly

Dogs are welcome with prior approval — please include them in your reservation so we know who's coming. Quiet, wooded setting is great for sniffs and walks right outside the door.

🚗 Parking + Access (Read This Before You Book)

Plenty of room on the dirt driveway for up to 3 vehicles

Driveway slopes down from the street into the property — 4WD or AWD strongly recommended, especially in winter

Driveway is regularly plowed and sanded, but it's still a White Mountains dirt driveway — plan accordingly

A boardwalk with several steps leads from the driveway to the front door — not accessible for guests with mobility issues

Local recs available on request — happy to point you to good food, trails, or the best swimming spot for the day

Dogs welcome with prior approval — please include them in your reservation

No smoking or vaping anywhere on the property
No parties or events

Quiet hours 10 PM – 8 AM (please be respectful of neighbors)

Access not permitted to the loft area or locked closet section in the bunk room

Guests responsible for any damages caused by themselves or pets

You'll have full, private access to the entire cottage and yard for your stay.

I give guests their space, but I'm a quick message away through the app, text, or phone if anything comes up.
