Nestled within Santa Fe's Historic Eastside, the Camino San Acacio neighborhood offers a truly unique Santa Fe experience, blending a serene, almost rural ambiance with unparalleled proximity to the city's vibrant heart.
Here, you'll find a peaceful residential haven where winding dirt or gravel roads lead to charming, traditional Santa Fe-style adobe and territorial homes. Properties are often set back, behind walls or lush tree cover, providing a sense of privacy and seclusion that is highly coveted. The architecture adheres to a strict zoning ordinance, ensuring the authentic adobe-look exteriors, earthy color palettes, and charming interior touches like built-ins and exposed beams that define Santa Fe's classic appeal.
Despite its tranquil atmosphere, Camino San Acacio is remarkably convenient. You're just steps away from the internationally renowned Canyon Road, Santa Fe's artistic hub, boasting over a hundred galleries, boutiques, and acclaimed restaurants like Geronimo's and the Santa Fe Teahouse & Bistro. A short distance further brings you to the historic Santa Fe Plaza, the city's vibrant center for culture, shopping, and dining, where you can explore museums, enjoy local events, or simply soak in the unique atmosphere.
For those who appreciate the outdoors, the neighborhood is close to Patrick Smith Park, offering green space and a playground, and provides easy access to mountain trails like the Atalaya Mountain Trail.
Camino San Acacio offers the best of both worlds: a quiet, private retreat deeply rooted in Santa Fe's historic charm, yet moments away from its most celebrated attractions.
Getting around from Camino San Acacio is convenient, offering a variety of options to suit your preferences:
Parking: You'll have the convenience of secure off-street parking right at the property, a valuable amenity in Santa Fe.
Walking: Canyon Road is just a short, pleasant stroll away, allowing you to easily explore its renowned galleries and restaurants on foot.
Public Transportation: From Canyon Road, you can hop on the Santa Fe Pick-Up, a convenient circulator bus that provides easy access throughout downtown Santa Fe, including the historic Plaza, museums, and other key attractions.
Biking: Santa Fe is a bike-friendly city, and bikes are readily available for rent. This is a fantastic way to explore the charming streets and dedicated bike paths.
Ride-Sharing: Uber and Lyft services are available in Santa Fe for door-to-door convenience, though occasional delays can occur depending on demand.
This is an authentic 100-year-old adobe home, which means it has wonderful historic character along with a few traditional features:
- Natural cooling from thick adobe walls plus ceiling fans in every room (no central AC—typical for Santa Fe historic homes)
- A few interior steps between rooms
- Three kiva fireplaces total: one working wood-burning fireplace for guest use, plus two decorative fireplaces with LED lights for ambiance
- Inflatable mattress is available along with extra linens
