About this house
Many homes are simply decorated; this one has been carefully curated over a lifetime. The owners are foodies, winemakers, and fermenters who have left behind a kitchen fully equipped for your culinary passions, alongside a vast library collected over decades. They’ve even tucked unexpected vintage clawfoot soaking tubs into the walled perennial gardens—offering a private oasis under the New Mexico sky.
While the rich art and character of the home remain, your stay is completely private, self-contained, and fully independent with its own private entrance.
🏡 The Home
An architect-designed live/work creative studio, only occasionally available to guests. This is a real home — filled with original art, personal objects, and a soulful character.
📍 Location
Nestled beside a quiet riparian corridor in a residential pocket of Santa Fe, with easy walking access to the best of the city:
Dolina Café: 8 min
Convention Center: 10 min
Palace Restaurant: 11 min
O'Keeffe Museum: 11 min
Santa Fe Plaza: 13 min
Farmers Market: 25 min
Canyon Road: 25 min
🌿 The Grounds
Enclosed by high walls and surrounded by fruit trees and perennial gardens. Two secure garden areas feature 6-foot fencing — one accessible via an 11"x20" dog door. The adjacent riparian corridor attracts birds year-round, and the garden is equipped with feeders so you can wake up to birdsong.
🛁 The Garden Tubs
Two vintage clawfoot soaking tubs, plumbed and set in the private back garden beneath a bamboo screen and string lights. One of those features you didn't know you needed until you're soaking under a New Mexico sky.
📚 Living & Dining
Warm wood ceilings, French doors to the front courtyard, and a working wood-burning stove create a cozy gathering space. The room is lined floor-to-ceiling with over 600 books including volumes on Jungian psychology, cooking, fermentation, herbalism, ecology, fiber arts, travel, and literature. For remote work or creative projects, choose between the long dining table, the kitchen island, or an outdoor garden table.
🍳 Kitchen
Designed for people who love to cook. Features a professional gas range, stainless hood, maple cabinetry, soapstone counters, and an island with bar stools. Fully stocked with premium tools: Le Creuset enamel pans, Wüsthof knives, an Instant Pot, Cuisinart food processor, Breville toaster, Fellow kettle, and an Aarke seltzer maker. An in-unit washer/dryer is included.
🛋️ Relaxation Room
Features exposed beam ceilings, a red velvet sofa and a café table that seats four. Entertainment is anchored by an 85" Samsung Frame TV (displaying art when not in use). The sofa folds down to a full-sized bed, supported by an en-suite slate walk-in shower and sliding doors to the back patio.
🛏️ Bedroom & Baths
Features a king-sized Sapira mattress by Leesa, pink-washed plaster walls, a built-in window seat meditation nook, and a vintage roll-top writing desk. A hall bathroom with a pedestal sink is located just adjacent. Both bathrooms are equipped with premium Toto Washlet bidets.
🐾 Dogs
Your four-legged co-travelers are welcome with a fully enclosed yard (6-foot fencing) and a large dog door (11"x20") leading to the secure garden. Dog beds are provided for both indoors and out, and pet stairs are available upon request.
All of the home is available to guests with one exception: the walk-in closet off the relaxation room, which remains locked for owner storage.
Your hosts are Brook and Adam. For anything you need during your stay, they've partnered with Ethan at Cohost Santa Fe LLC — message for the fastest response, or call for anything urgent.
The house sits at the end of a 200-foot driveway, a common feature in Santa Fe's historic districts. You'll need to be comfortable with a three-point turn when space allows, or backing in and out. Pull-behind trailers, box trucks, and oversized vehicles can't be accommodated.
No air conditioning, but the thick adobe walls provide exceptional insulation and the home has excellent cross-ventilation when doors are open. Santa Fe's afternoon monsoon rains temper summer temperatures, and evenings bring a reliable drop, ideal for sleeping with the windows open.
Radiant floors heat the home in the colder months and a wood-burning stove is available for use November through March. Outdoor tubs open May through October.
