About this house
Fruit trees surround the house and there is no lawn. If there is fruit on the trees and ripe, help yourselves, keep in mind we do not spray pesticides so you might be sharing with a tiny friend.
We do have some firewood available by the fire pit, use what you need but please leave what you don't for the next guest.
You will have access to the entire House. We do leave cleaning supplies and other maintenance items in the Pantry which is off the laundry room. The access is not restricted but the items in that room should not be important to your stay. If it is in our home you are welcome to use it.
A contact number is posted in the house should you need us during your stay.
The neighborhood is quiet and you probably won't see much of the neighbors around as houses are far apart. Most people are very busy during the spring, summer and fall with lots of travelers coming through Hanksville.
This is a rural setting, don't expect many of the conveniences of the city, but that's what makes us a great place to visit. You will, however, be able to find all the necessities you need.
Also being very rural people tend to save and collect things others may consider "junk" so don't be surprised by a little clutter around town.
Also there is no public transportation, but you don't need it, you can walk anywhere in town in about 10 minutes.
There is plenty of parking on the west side of the house on the gravel drive, please park in the graveled area by the house as much as possible as we do share the drive with the back of the grocery store and they receive deliveries several times a week at the dock.
