This listing is the entire two-story Carriage House. You have exclusive use of both bedrooms, both bathrooms, the kitchen, living area, loft, courtyard, sodded and fenced pet area and balcony. It is a 2023 build on Gail Borden Jr.’s original farm outlot.

Getting There
Galveston is about a 1-hour drive from downtown Houston via I-45 South. The closest major airport is Houston Hobby (HOU), about 50 minutes away. George Bush Intercontinental (IAH) is about 75–90 minutes away. Your exact address is shared after booking, and smart-lock self check-in means no meet-up is needed on arrival.

Kempner Park is walkable — the beach and several restaurants are an easy walk from the house. A car is useful for exploring the Strand, the Seawall, and other parts of the island. Private parking for 2 vehicles is included. Many guests also rent bikes or golf carts to get around Galveston.

Is this pet-friendly?
Yes. Up to 2 well-behaved dogs are welcome with no pet fee. The fenced yard gives pets room to roam safely.
Any rules about pets and linens?
We love our Giant Schnauzer, Kit, and we enjoy hosting well-behaved dogs, but we ask for a little care in return. Please keep pets off the beds and sofa and towel off wet or sandy paws before letting them inside. Furniture covers are provided — please use them for pets on soft furniture, or feel free to bring your own pet bed or blanket.
Pet hair or odor requiring extra cleaning beyond standard turnover will incur a minimum $50 cleaning charge.
Stained linens from hair dye, hair glue, wine, make-up, and other difficult-to-remove stains will incur a minimum $25 charge for stain removal.
Torn or otherwise unsalvageable linens, towels, or furniture will be charged at replacement cost, with a $50 minimum.
All charges are documented with photos and billed through Airbnb's Resolution Center. Thanks for your cooperation — the vast majority of our guests are respectful of the property, and this rarely comes up.
Are there hidden fees?
No. The listed price is the full price. There are no extra cleaning fees, resort fees, or surprise charges.

About 6 blocks away, roughly a 10-minute walk. The Strand and many restaurants are about a 5-minute drive.
What if there's a tropical storm or hurricane watch?
If the National Hurricane Center issues a Tropical Storm Watch or Hurricane Warning for Galveston County within 7 days of your arrival, you can request a free reschedule (within 12 months) and apply all host-paid funds to your future stay. Any refund of Airbnb processing fees and taxes are at the discretion of Airbnb and are outside of your hosts' control. Our standard Airbnb cancellation policy applies to all other situations.
