🏠 UPSTAIRS
The great room centers on a stacked-stone gas fireplace and flows into a chef's kitchen with a quartz island and dining table for the whole group. Slide the doors open to the upper deck for grilling and string-lit dinners under the trees. The primary suite offers a king bed, vaulted ceilings, a private sitting area, and a spa-style bath with a freestanding soaking tub and glass walk-in shower. A second upstairs bedroom offers a queen bed with its own upstairs bathroom.

🎮 DOWNSTAIRS
A second living area with foosball and a wet bar/beverage fridge opens straight onto the lower patio and fenced backyard — its own separate hangout space, complete with a twin trundle daybed for extra kids' sleeping. A queen guest bedroom and a twin-over-full bunk with additional trundle round out the level, along with a full bathroom.

🌳 OUTSIDE
The fully fenced backyard is built for long Tahoe evenings: a gravel fire pit lounge, picnic table, hammock, volleyball net, and yard games, all wrapped in tall pines.

🚗 WINTER DRIVING
South Lake Tahoe winters can bring snow and icy roads. Tire chains or 4WD/AWD may be required, and mountain pass or resort access can occasionally be delayed by weather. Weather delays are outside our control and aren't eligible for refunds, so trip insurance is a smart add for winter stays.

📋 GOOD TO KNOW BEFORE YOU BOOK

SECURITY DEPOSIT: A refundable $750 security deposit hold is required for each stay, processed securely through our guest portal before check in. This is a temporary hold on your card, not a charge. It releases automatically within a few days after checkout when the home is left in good condition. You will receive the secure link in your booking confirmation along with our rental agreement and ID verification, all required by the City of South Lake Tahoe.

✔️ No parties, events, or bachelor/bachelorette gatherings — quiet hours 10pm–8am
✔️ This is a multi-level home with stairs between the main floor, upper deck, and downstairs level — plan accordingly for mobility needs
✔️ Wood-burning fires are prohibited (fire season); propane fire pit & grill provided instead
✔️ Bear country: all trash and recycling must go in the approved wildlife-resistant bins provided
✔️ For everyone's safety and per our permit, the home has one exterior security camera (front entry, facing outward) and a privacy-safe noise monitor that measures decibel levels only — it never records audio or conversations
✔️ A signed Rental Agreement, Good Neighbor Contract, and ID verification are required before check-in access is provided — please complete these promptly after booking to avoid delays
✔️Like most Tahoe homes, ceiling fans and crisp mountain nights (typically 50s°F in summer) are the main source of cooling here. There is also supplemental AC that activates automatically during periods of high heat.

A car is recommended for exploring Tahoe, and parking is easy here: 4 dedicated spaces (2-car garage plus 2 in the driveway). Heavenly Mountain Resort is under 2 miles away — about 5 minutes door to lifts — and South Lake Tahoe's beaches, restaurants, and Heavenly Village are all a short drive. Rideshares operate in the area but can be limited during peak times, so plan ahead for dinner reservations and airport runs. In winter, carry chains or drive AWD/4WD per Caltrans requirements.
