• Sink into the comfy sunken living room designed for conversations, games, and late-night laughs.

• Grown-Up Space Camp Room: An adult-sized “space camp” bunk room with three king beds. It’s playful, unexpected, and unforgettable.
• Indoor Tent Room: A mission-control-inspired sleepover zone with two twins and two full tent-style beds. Kids, teens, and space‑loving adults are all welcome here.

• 2 king bedrooms (one is a main‑floor ensuite)
• 1 queen bedroom upstairs
• Downstairs room with twin daybed + comfy couch
• Bonus upstairs bunk room with 3 king beds

• Pack-n-play and infant tub available in primary closet
• 3 bathrooms total, including tubs in the primary and upstairs baths
• Kid vanity stepstool in closet outside upstairs bathroom
• Child / pet safety gate on foot of staircase

Pet-Friendly — Because They Deserve Space Too

Your doggos get their own fenced-in area connected to the primary suite, Bedroom 2, and the sunken living room. A large crate is available, and the space is designed so pets feel safe, included, and able to roam.

Whether you’re here for Space Camp, a family reunion, a wedding weekend, a soccer tournament, a concert at The Orion, or a simple escape from everyday life — Rocket City Retreat has room for your whole universe.

Guests will enter the home via a digital keypad on the front door, programmed with their private access code.

Guests will have full access to the home, including the outdoor areas. If there is a keypad on the doorknob, that is an owner / cleaner area for storage.

Please note that while we are LITERALLY located in the middle of everything the largest city in Alabama has to offer, we are in a very quaint, family-friendly neighborhood. It truly is a hidden gem, which means we try to keep things peaceful and respect the folks that live around us! Our lovely neighbors to the south of us have free-range chickens, including a rooster who likes to crow from time to time. It's the perfect authentic wake-up call (even if you didn't request it), but if you are a light sleeper, we highly recommend using earplugs just in case (available in the primary bathroom).
~Please remember the speed limit is 25 mph (the squirrels thank you).
~Noise carries here like it's trying to win an award - so please keep it mellow, especially outdoors.
~You've got 2 whole acres to enjoy! Plenty of space without wandering into the neighbor's yards.
~Please keep trash bagged so it doesn't take a windy field trip.
~No parties or events unless the host gives the official thumbs-up.
