Sunset Vista Apartment B

Spacious apartment in peaceful surroundings, with one double bed and 1 single bed in the 1st bedroom and a double sofabed and a single bed in the lounge/ 2nd bedroom, with tv. There's a great little kitchenette/dining room with coffee machine, stunning bathroom with free standing bath, shower and bidet. A sunny balcony with access to a shared garden with BBQ and outside dining area, plus a beautiful pool with sun loungers.
We are in a rural area, so your own transport is necessary to get here.

The apartment is equipped with everything you need for a long or short term stay. The kitchen includes a 2 ring electric hob, a combi microwave, an air fryer, kettle, toaster, coffee machine, full size fridge with freezer compartment and an iron and ironing board. The bedrooms all have cotton bedding, fly screens and black out blinds on all windows. In the bathroom there are towels, wash cloths and shampoo and conditioner. There is a lovely shared garden with a barbeque and table and chairs for alfresco dining. There is also a beautiful pool with sun loungers, table and chairs.

We have a large area of land including a very small forested area and a large flat grassy area which you are free to use for walks or games. We also have a vegetable plot and orange and lemon trees, if you would like any freshly picked produce let us know and we will be happy to pick you a selection of anything we have in season.

The annexe apartment is part of our house where we live full time. So we are never far away if you need anything.

Central Portugal has so much to offer away from the overly touristic coast and large cities. if you enjoy mountains, lakes and the outdoors then this is the place for you. Charming schist villages, olive groves, small vineyards and some of the friendliest people in the world are all waiting for your visit.
Our nearest town is Cardigos, which has 2 small grocery stores, cafes and 2 good restaurants. There are also numerous river beaches within a 10-15 minute drive, including Cardigos and Pego Das Cancelas which all have dedicated bars, toilets, barbeques and picnic areas. Plus lots of opportunity for hiking and leisurely walks around the beautiful, unspoilt countryside.
We are nearby the Zezere and other rivers which are perfect for fishing and watersports or just packing up a picnic and heading out for the day.

A car or motorcycle would be necessary to get to the nearest shops, although there is a nearby taxi company that can be used.
A bread van comes to our door 3 times a week which sells loaves, rolls and cakes from a local bakery at very reasonable prices. We can also provide you with fresh eggs from our chickens, olive oil, oranges, lemons and a variety of fresh, home grown vegetables from our garden (depending on the season) for a small donation.

During the summer months (Jun -Sep) we host pizza nights for guests and locals once a week. We cook home made pizzas in our bread oven and provide wine and soft drinks in our pretty outdoor area and ask that you give us however much you think your meal was worth . We hope you will come and join us!
If you stay with us for more than 7 days, we will provide you with fresh towels and bed linen after the first week if required.
