Airstream Desert Stay

This Airstream is made for slow living and desert adventure. Set on a private, fenced yard with sweeping views, it’s your own little basecamp for exploring Joshua Tree.

Inside, you’ll find a queen bed, a cozy living area, and a small kitchen with sink, stove, microwave, fridge, and all essentials for easy meals. There’s an indoor shower, plus an outdoor shower for warm-weather days.

The bathroom is a few steps from the Airstream, it's a private outhouse with a full flushing toilet (please note there is no toilet inside the Airstream).

You will have private access to the Airstream and fenced yard. You're welcome to walk around the property.

We live on the property in a separate house but there are no shared spaces and there is a full privacy fence and you have a separate gate.

We will be available if there are any issues but will leave you completely alone to enjoy your stay.

We love the North Joshua Tree area. It's a quiet location, the views are great and it's not as busy as other areas of Joshua Tree. It's a little off the beaten path (just how we like it!), while still accessible to all.

We are located off the pavement. 4WD is nice but not necessary. Our car is an AWD Toyota and we've had front wheel drive cars back here without an issue. Very low cars can sometimes have an issue.

The wood-fired hot tub takes about 90–120 minutes to heat; bring your own firewood and kindling.

Both the firepit and hot tub must not be used if the wind is above 10 mph (county rule).

Roads are sandy; most cars are fine, but very low vehicles or large vans may have difficulty.

House on the property: We live next door on the property. You might see us in the driveway (we'll say hello if so!) or hear us in our yard, but we’re quiet and keep to ourselves. The yards are separated by a fence with privacy panels.

There is a military base in 29 Palms, on a very rare occasion we can hear training.

Wildlife:

You may spot coyotes, jackrabbits, roadrunners, lizards, and other desert creatures. The desert is peaceful but alive with nature, keep doors closed and food sealed, and enjoy the quiet rhythm of this wild landscape.
