Small central street in Rethymno town (postal code 741 33). The location sits at the edge of the Old Town/central area: narrow streets, Venetian and Ottoman-era architecture, cafés, tavernas and boutiques. Key nearby attractions within a few minutes’ walk include the Venetian Harbour and lighthouse, Fortezza fortress, the Old Town’s pedestrian lanes, the Archaeological Museum and the long sandy municipal beach. The vibe is historic, lively in summer and very walkable for visitors.

Walkable for most daily needs and sightseeing inside the Old Town. Local KTEL buses stop at the main bus station (Rethymno KTEL) a short taxi or 10–20 minute walk away and connect to other Cretan towns and airports. Taxis are readily available in the town center and at the harbour. Car is useful for day trips around Crete; short-term parking in the Old Town is limited so expect paid lots or on-street restrictions. There is no island-wide rail service—Crete has no trains. Ferries operate from larger ports (Heraklion, Chania) and occasional smaller services call in Rethymno’s harbour seasonally.
