Located in the heart of Nokomis, this area offers the perfect blend of Old Florida vibes and easy coastal living. Here is what makes our local spot special:
Beach Access: You are just minutes away from Nokomis Beach, Sarasota County's oldest public beach. It is known for its relaxed atmosphere, stunning sunsets, and being a premier spot for finding shark teeth and shells.
The Waterfront Life: We are surrounded by water. Between the Gulf of Mexico and the Intracoastal Waterway, you’ll find plenty of spots for fishing, kayaking, or simply watching the boats go by at the North Jetty Park.
Local Flavor: For a true local experience, head over to the nearby waterfront tiki bars and seafood shacks. Whether you want live music and a cold drink or a quiet dinner by the docks, the local dining scene is laid-back and welcoming.
Outdoor Adventure: If you brought your bike or walking shoes, the Legacy Trail is nearby—a beautiful paved trail that stretches for miles, offering a scenic way to explore the natural beauty of the region.
Getting around Nokomis is easy and matches the town's laid-back pace. Whether you want to feel the breeze on a bike or prefer the convenience of a door-to-door ride, here are the best ways to explore:
🚲 Biking & The Legacy Trail
One of the best ways to see the area is on two wheels.
The Legacy Trail: This beautiful, paved 18-mile trail is perfect for biking, walking, or skating. You can access it nearby at Nokomis Riverview Park or Nokomis Community Park.
Rentals: If you didn't bring your own, local shops like Legacy Trail Bike Rentals or Venice Bikes & Trikes offer everything from cruisers to e-bikes (some even offer free delivery to the property!).
🛺 Golf Carts (The Coastal Way)
For a true Florida vacation feel, consider renting a street-legal golf cart (LSV).
Where to Drive: You can drive these on most local roads with speed limits of 35 mph or less, making them perfect for trips to Nokomis Beach or the North Jetty.
Local Providers: Companies like Paradise Golf Cart Rentals in Nokomis specialize in these rentals—just remember they require a standard driver's license and must be parked in legal vehicle spots.
🚗 Rideshare & On-Demand Transit
Breeze OnDemand: Sarasota County offers a fantastic curb-to-curb shuttle service called Breeze OnDemand. You can request a ride via their app for a small flat fee. It's a great, affordable alternative to standard rideshares for getting around the Venice/Nokomis zone.
Uber & Lyft: Both are active in the area, though pickup times can be a little longer than in a big city. For early morning airport runs to SRQ or TPA, we recommend scheduling your ride in advance.
🅿️ Driving & Parking
Beach Parking: Parking at Nokomis Beach and North Jetty Park is free, which is a huge perk!
Pro Tip: During the "High Season" (January–April) and on weekends, the beach lots can fill up by mid-morning. Aim to arrive early or take a bike/shuttle to skip the hunt for a spot.
