Desert Lily - Homestead Cabin

The Homestead Cabin is part of The Desert Lily, a rustic five-acre property in north Joshua Tree with wide-open views and a laid-back, welcoming feel. It’s an authentic desert escape that blends simplicity, comfort, and character.

Inside, you’ll find a cozy living area with a sofa, a small dining nook, and a kitchenette equipped with a hot plate, mini fridge, and essentials for easy meals. There’s a private bathroom and a bedroom on the main floor (please note the upstairs loft is not accessible).

Outside, unwind on the porch or relax under the stars by the shared firepit. The cabin is fully private, but guests are also welcome to use the shared kitchen, pool, patio, and Great Room in the main house.

Guests have private use of the Homestead Cabin. Shared spaces include the kitchen, dining area, Great Room with fireplace, patio, pool, and firepit areas.

It's self check-in but we're available if you need anything during your stay.

The Desert Lilly is minutes from downtown Joshua Tree and minutes from the park entrance!

We recommend bringing your own car to get around as there are no public transportation options.

Pool and spa heating is available for an additional fee, as propane is very costly in the desert. Please inquire before booking if you’d like the pool or spa heated. The spa heating is $75 for 4 hours. Pool heating is $250 per day. This covers the actual cost of the fuel needed to heat it.

Note: Heating cannot be guaranteed, and we’re unable to offer discounts if the heater isn’t working during your stay.

Wildlife

You may spot rabbits, roadrunners, lizards, coyotes, and other desert creatures. The desert is peaceful but alive with nature. Keep doors closed and food sealed, and enjoy the quiet beauty of this high-desert landscape.
