About this house

WELCOME TO HOMECOMING AT THE PINES

Mountain-cabin warmth meets neighborhood convenience at Homecoming at the Pines. Vaulted ceilings, exposed wood beams, a dramatic stone fireplace and leather seating create an inviting setting for family visits, romantic getaways and extended stays.

The home accommodates up to 8 guests across 3 bedrooms, with 2 full bathrooms and flexible additional sleeping options:
• Upstairs king suite: a sitting area, TV, full bathroom and private infrared sauna, set apart from the main living spaces.
• Downstairs queen bedroom: a cozy room with a sitting chair.
• Downstairs family bunk room: a full-size lower bunk, twin upper bunk and pull-out twin trundle. The upper bunk has limited headroom; please review the details below.
• Additional sleeping options include a full futon and a single leather couch.

Gather in the living room for a movie on the 55-inch Roku Smart TV, play the upright piano, or settle into the reading nook. An Xbox One with four controllers and games, board games, books, children's books and toys, and free weights offer more ways to enjoy your time indoors.

The well-stocked galley kitchen has granite countertops and space to prepare meals together. The adjoining dining table seats eight, while the dedicated coffee and tea bar makes mornings easy with regular and decaf coffee, assorted teas, a drip coffee maker, pour-over setup and electric kettle.
• Refrigerator, electric stove and oven, microwave and dishwasher
• Stainless steel and cast iron cookware, cooking basics, spices and utensils
• Toaster, Pressure Cooker, and baking supplies

Two decks give you different ways to unwind outdoors:
• Side deck: cedar privacy screening, two rocking chairs, a wicker couch and a picnic table seating eight—an inviting spot for morning coffee and outdoor meals.
• Back deck: a charcoal BBQ grill, wood-burning fire pit with cooking grate, fireside seating for eight and a separate conversation area for five to six. String lights add warmth to evenings beneath the oaks.

Comforts for short visits and longer stays include:
• Air conditioning, heating, ceiling and portable fans, and an indoor fireplace
• High-speed Spectrum WiFi and a dedicated workspace in the upstairs open loft, overlooking the living space
• Washer and dryer, iron, clothing storage, extra pillows and blankets, and a safe
• Bathtubs, shower head water filter, a hair dryer, shampoo, conditioner and body wash
• A standalone high chair available upon request and fireplace guards

The fully fenced backyard adds outdoor space to enjoy, and the large front driveway has a basketball hoop for friendly competition.

NATURE & NEIGHBORHOOD
Enjoy the beauty of mature trees, birdsong, and neighborhood walks with glimpses of a lovely nearby lake. You may spot geese, squirrels, cardinals, doves, thrushes, and other wildlife.

The lake is privately accessible, so guests may enjoy the views from neighborhood streets but do not have direct lake access.

The entire house is yours, including the fully fenced backyard, driveway, both decks and laundry room. You'll have a private entrance and access to free parking on the premises.

The single-car garage and the maid's closet off the loft are not accessible to guests.

A responsive host checks in to make sure you have what you need while respecting your privacy throughout your stay.

A few layout details will help you plan your stay:
• The two downstairs bedrooms are cozy. The upper twin bunk has approximately 22 inches of headroom above the mattress and is best suited to smaller guests ages 6 and older.
• When the twin trundle is pulled out, the chair should be moved to allow room to walk around the bed.
• The bunk room provides the only interior access to the back deck. You can also reach the backyard from outside via the side deck and gate along the house.
• The cedar-screened side deck borders a neighboring driveway. The fencing provides visual privacy, but you may occasionally hear vehicles coming and going.
• The galley kitchen has ample counter space but no exterior window.
• The upstairs suite and open loft workspace are reached by interior stairs; exterior steps and a bunk ladder are also part of the layout.

The infrared sauna uses radiant heat at lower temperatures than a traditional sauna. It reaches approximately 130°F and takes around 30–40 minutes to warm up.

We're located in an established suburban neighborhood with neighboring homes nearby. Mature trees create a lovely wooded atmosphere, but this is not a secluded property. A nearby lake is visible during neighborhood walks, although guests do not have lake access.

Long-term stays are welcome, and long-stay discounts are available. Housekeeping is available at an additional cost.

Exterior security cameras are on the property. The home also has a smoke alarm, fire extinguisher and first aid kit.
